Three Glendale City Council incumbents are leading in early returns in Tuesday’s election.

Council members Jamie Aldama and Bart Turner are ahead of their challengers in the early results. Vice Mayor Lauren Tolmachoff, who represents the Cholla District in northern Glendale, is poised to keep her seat. She is running unopposed.

If any Glendale candidate receives more than 50 percent of the vote in their district, they will win outright in the primary election, and avoid a run-off election in November.

Aldama’s competitor for the Ocotillo District seat, which represents downtown Glendale, is Emmanuel Allen. Turner’s competitor for the Barrel District seat, which represents central Glendale, is Ray Strahl.
