13 new hotels coming to West Valley, from Avondale to Glendale, as region grows

The West Valley will see a boost in its number of hotels over the next year as the region prepares to host Super Bowl LVII in 2023.

Thirteen hotels are in various stages of planning and development across seven West Valley cities, according to city leaders and planners.

The West Valley has several venues that attract visitors, including spring training ballparks for nine MLB teams, the home of the Arizona Cardinals at University of Phoenix Stadium and ISM Raceway, among others, but it has lagged in hotel development when compared to Phoenix and other points east.

Scottsdale alone, with about 9,000 hotel rooms, has nearly twice the number of rooms as the West Valley.
