Phoenix district looking at plans for new schools due to overcrowding

A growing number of students at west Phoenix high schools is creating new problems for district officials.

The Phoenix Union High School District has been busy assessing whether new schools should be built or whether they should just redesign existing schools.

Trevor Browne High School has an enrollment of over 3,000 students, while Maryvale is close behind with 2,900 students. Alhambra High School has an enrollment of more than 2,500.
