Housing diversity aim of Maricopa 15-year look ahead

Fifteen years down, and hundreds more to go. As the anniversary of the city’s incorporation quickly approaches, city staff said they foresee nothing but progress in Maricopa’s future.

PinalCentral sat down with Mayor Christian Price to discuss all the inner-workings of the city. From new businesses to expanding public safety, Price talked about what he envisions for the next 15 years.

One of the things that Price says is a priority for city staff is creating more diverse housing. Price said the city — which boasts a plethora of subdivision-style housing, yet lacks anything else — needs to accommodate for the different types of people living in Maricopa.
