Latinos are spending big bucks in Arizona, and their buying power is expected to continue growing, according to a new report by the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber’s 2018 DATOS: The State of Arizona’s Hispanic Market finds Latinos’ buying power in Arizona was about $45 billion last year, up from $31 billion in 2010. It’s expected to hit $57 billion in 2022.
“We’re really driving the growth in the economy,” said Monica Villalobos, vice president of the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Latinos, who make up 31 percent of Arizona’s population, are also contributing to the state’s business growth.
