Christopher Todd Communities Opens Its Second Innovative Rental Community – in Tolleson
Tolleson, Ariz. (October 17, 2018) – Christopher Todd Communities At Country Place welcomes its first residents this Friday. A new type of rental housing called “horizontal living,” Christopher Todd Communities is developing a smart-gated community with one- and two-bedroom, single-story, single-family smart homes. Each home features luxury appointments, with all appliances including a full-size washer and dryer. The community, located at 2500 S. 99th Avenue, near 99th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road, is comprised of 154 Farmhouse-style homes.
For Korissa Oakes, who is moving in with her dog Zeus, the fresh new construction and smart home technology was appealing. “This community not only looks modern, it offers all the new security features that really made me excited! Every home has high speed internet (up to 1000/1000 mbps), DIRECTV, and smart home technology including a touchscreen panel, smart lock, lighting, thermostat, doorbell camera and security sensors – all of which can be accessed via a mobile app. That technology helps save up to 12% annually on heating and cooling costs. “Having all the smart home technology played into my decision because if I were to rent anywhere elsewhere, I probably would have bought my own security features. So being able to move in and have that provided for me, makes me feel extremely safe and comfortable,” noted Oakes.
Every home also comes with a free doggy door and private fenced backyard. “I’m not really in the market for having a huge house right now, but I knew I couldn’t have my Zeus in an apartment where he doesn’t have the freedom to go outside when he needs to. So, this place was perfect for me,” said Oakes.
The innovative community also features a smart-gate entry, package delivery to the door, an event lawn, resort-style pool, evening courtesy patrol, and is professionally managed by Mark-Taylor Residential.
