DOUBLE FEAURE: ‘SNL’ says goodbye to Jeff Sessions; The Jim Acosta Tangle

“Saturday Night Live” just bid farewell to one of its most popular political figures.

With the news that Attorney General Jeff Sessions was fired Wednesday, Kate McKinnon was forced to retire her quirky impersonation of the Alabama Republican during Saturday night’s cold open.

Cecily Strong played a sneaky, microphone-grabbing intern during a “Weekend Update” sketch on “Saturday Night Live” in a goofy parody of an incident between a White House intern and CNN correspondent Jim Acosta.

Strong creeps around Colin Jost, grabbing for his mike, then vanishing beneath the desk, only to pop up again — and grab.
