City of Peoria undertakes identity initiative

The Foothills Focus

How do you feel about your city? It was a question posed to Peoria residents and city employees over the last year. The feedback, collected at public events, on social media and through surveys, helped shape the new city identity campaign.

The result, thanks to a collective effort from those who live and work here: “Peoria is the Place…”

“The phrase was used over and over again as people explained how they felt about the city,” said Communications Director Jennifer Stein. “We were amazed at the consistency of responses, hearing certain words and phrases repeatedly, and knew this was how we would capture the feel of and everything that is special about our city.”
