Old Town is now organized into a new mixed-use district that makes it clear Peoria City Council has a plan to revitalize and change the look of the oldest area of the city.
Council approved an Old Town Mixed- Use District zoning code amendment at its February 5 meeting that calls for two distinct areas. Bounded by Monroe Street on the south, Grand Avenue on the east, Peoria Avenue on the north and 85th Avenue on the west, the district is split between Core Commercial Mixed Use (CCM) and Core Residential Mixed Use (CRM).
