Microsoft purchased another big chunk of land on metro Phoenix’s west side, this time for $37 million.

The Washington-based tech giant bought about 147 acres of Goodyear land on the southeast corner of Indian School and Citrus roads near Loop 303, according to documents with the Maricopa County recorder’s and assessor’s offices.

Microsoft Corporation bought the land from DRI FR Goodyear LLC, documents show.

A development agreement could go before the City Council as early as May, city spokeswoman Tammy Vo said.

A Microsoft spokesman did not offer comment, saying he would “follow up with anything additional I can share.”
