Surprise celebrates State of the City in style: City Hall turns 10

It’s probably fitting that last week’s Surprise State of the City celebration at City Hall, 16000 N. Civic Center Plaza, started a little bit late.

After all, what’s 10 minutes more when hundreds of Surprise residents packed into City Council Chambers to celebrate City Hall’s 10th birthday and learn about Surprise’s future plans.

“We’re thinking about moving it to the Valley Vista Performing Arts Center,” Mayor Skip Hall told the overflow crowd on March 28 inside the City Council Chambers. “What do you think?”
