About 15 acres near the corner of 75th Avenue and Acoma Drive will be annexed from Maricopa County into Peoria to make way for a new housing community with a projected density of about two homes per acre.
The Peoria City Council unanimously approved the annexation, May 7.
With the approval, the property owner now may take advantage of the services, such as water and sewer, the city offers.
Applicant and developer KMK dubbed the project Acoma Estates with 28 detached homes on lot sizes between 11,600 and 12,000 square-feet.
