The city of Maricopa is looking to join the Arizona-Mexico Commission to expand the trading market for the city.
The suggestion was brought up at a City Council meeting in connection with approval of the new budget on Tuesday night by Councilwoman Julia Gusse as she mentioned growth opportunities in becoming a member of the commission.
“For us not to be there, we’re doing away with opportunity,” Gusse said.
