Cullum Homes is digging a bit deeper for its luxury home projects in north Scottsdale and Paradise Valley.
The Scottsdale-based homebuilder is offering a basement option for its 33 custom golf estates at the new Seven Desert Mountain community in north Scottsdale.
Basements aren’t all that common in metro Phoenix — mainly because the hard soil is difficult to dig and can be more expensive.
Those who have moved here from colder climates remember basements being more prevalent because building foundations need to be below the frost line to avoid freezing and cracking pipes.
