Casa Grande is considering rezoning 42.3 acres of land for development of a 205-unit active adult manufactured home community.

The new development is proposed for vacant land at Casa Grande Avenue and O’Neil Drive.

The land needs to be rezoned to accommodate the manufactured home ‘resort living’ community. Homes are expected to be priced between $125,000 and $250,000, according to city documents. The proposed development is called Spanish Trails West.

The land is currently zoned for single-family residential and needs a zoning change for the manufactured home project. Casa Grande’s Planning and Zoning Commission will look at the development plans and zoning changes at its Thursday meeting.

The land is owned by Gilbert-based Rancho Val Vista Estates MHP, according to city documents.
