Two of the world’s 100 best universities are right here in Arizona.

Both University of Arizona and Arizona State University cracked the new ranking from TheBestSchools.org, a site that provides resources on a whole range of colleges and universities and their programs.

On the “100 Best Universities in the World Today” list, UA ranked No. 62, right ahead of Imperial College London (No. 63) and just behind University of Iowa (No. 61). ASU landed at No. 80, ahead of University of Halle-Wittenberg in Germany (No. 81) and behind University of Rochester (No. 79).

TheBestSchools.org notes its ranking is different from other college lists because it focuses “on academic prestige, scholarly excellence, and sheer intellectual horsepower.”
