Chandler approves farmland rezoning for residential development

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The Chandler City Council has approved rezoning for 24.2 acres of land at Queen Creek and Alma School roads for a planned residential development.

The development is slated for Dobson Family Farm parcels in the East Valley.

The New Home Company wants to build 199 new residential units at planned gated development called Mariposa. The development is slated to have a mix of single-family detached, clustered and paired homes.

Some of the new development is on land previously zoned for farming. The Chandler council unanimously approved zoning changes for the planned development this week.
