New apartments, redevelopment of Scottsdale retail property go before planners

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The Scottsdale Planning Commission will consider plans for a 330-unit new apartment development on Raintree Tree Road near Northsight Boulevard.

Wood Partners wants to develop the Alta Raintree apartments on a 5.6-acre parcel that is a part of a larger 13.1-acre site. Development plans also call for 38,000 square feet of retail space and 82,000 square feet of storage space on the site. The Scottsdale Planning Commission will consider the plans at its meeting tonight.

The property was previously home to a Whole Foods Store, Ski Chalet and Mega Furniture.

A Boot Barn store on the property is still open and will remain with the redevelopment plans.
