With numerous games and activities centered around a climate-controlled water park and its tangle of slides, Great Wolf Lodge Arizona opened for business Friday.
It’s the 18th location of the popular resort, full of attractions designed to keep families busy (and on site) nonstop, including the water park and an extensive dry side with a ropes course, climbing wall and a bowling alley that is as miniature as the golf course.
Great Wolf Lodge is on the Salt River Reservation near Scottsdale.
The first official water park guest, who slid through the turnstiles at 9 a.m., had to stop to take it all in. That was for good reason, since Jack McGehee spent the better part of a year installing all the pipes that made everything flow.
