By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The Phoenix City Council is slated to vote today on a deal to lease city owned land in the Tres Wetlands area to a farming company.

Plans calls for K-B Farms LLC to lease 6.9 acres of land at 99th and Southern avenues from the city.

K-B Farms would then farm the land pending an access agreement with another adjacent farm.

The Phoenix land is eventually slated for future development.

K-B Farms would lease the land for three years at a $180 per acre with extension options and a 3 percent increase rent increase after the second year, according to city documents.
