Chandler to vote on Air Products expansion plans

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The Chandler City Council will vote today on expansion plans for Air Products and Chemicals Inc. for a 16-acre parcel at Frye and Price roads.

Air Products provide high-purity nitrogen and other gases to technology companies. The company has been operating in Chandler and has expanded numerous times.

The new request before the Chandler City Council asks to amend the property’s development plan to allow for the construction of two new air separation towers.  Those structures will be up to 225’ tall with FAA lighting.

Air Products uses the structures and technology within them to separate the chemical elements of nitrogen, oxygen and argon from the air we breathe.

Those elements are then packaged and sold to technology firms for various uses.
