The Mesa City Council is considering rezoning a vacant 3.8-acre parcel near the Loop 202 and Southern Avenue for an infill housing development.

The development group called Hampton East II LLC wants the property rezoned from single-family residential to allow for multiple residences.

The developer wants to build 53 casitas on the East Valley property at a residential project called Hampton East II.

The Mesa City Council is scheduled to consider the rezoning at its Tuesday meeting.

The development LLC is made up of Off Crismon LLC Properties, KDL Investments and Paragon Hampton East II LLC, according to Arizona Corporation Commission records.
