New home sales in the Phoenix region are up 47 percent year-over-year from mid-October to mid-November, according to preliminary data from regional real estate expert Jim Belfiore.
Belfiore, who is president of Belfiore Real Estate Consulting, said the mid-October to mid-November sales numbers are also the highest for that time frame in since 2006.
“The strength of the market continues,” said Belfiore of the 13-year high.
Entry level submarkets such as south Buckeye, the San Tan Valley and Coolidge are showing sales strength along with some move up subdivisions such as Marley Park in Surprise, Morrison Ranch in Mesa and Whitewing at San Tan.
“It’s affordability that is the key and it’s south Buckeye and the San Tan Valley that are really the dominant players,” he said.
