Nikola Motor Company announces plans to reveal revolutionary battery tech at Nikola World 2020

By Rofida Khairalla | Maricopa Monitor

Nikola Motor Company has announced that the battery cell technology it plans to implement in its electric vehicles could dramatically change the battery industry, so much so that the company is hoping to share the advancements with other equipment manufacturers and even competitors.

“Nikola is in discussion with customers for truck orders that could fill production slots for more than 10 years and propel Nikola to become the top truck manufacturer in the world in terms of revenue,” CEO Trevor Milton said in a press release. “Now the question is why not share that with the world?”

The Phoenix-based startup plans to build a massive manufacturing plant to develop its hydrogen-electric and electric vehicles at the southern tip of Coolidge.

The company will showcase the prototype batteries at the next Nikola World convention, which will likely take place sometime in the fall of 2020.
