Real estate expert Jim Belfiore pegs the best performing submarket for new and existing homes as 2019 nears its end.
It’s the Queen Creek / Hunt Highway area of the Southeast Valley.
Belfiore, who is president of Belfiore Real Estate Consulting, said there 65 new home communities active in the Queen Creek submarket.
The submarket is averaging 228 home sales per month for the past 6 months. “Sales volumes are astounding,” said Belfiore.
He said the East Valley area is offering a diversity of home designs, floor plans, elevations and options for buyers.
“That shows people are looking for different,” Belfiore said of buyers’ preference for a variety of housing designs and choices.
He pointed to the success of Toll Brothers’ The Crossings at Meridian development in Queen Creek. Homes are priced at between $317,000 and $389,000 at the popular subdivision, Belfiore said.
Queen Creek and Hunt Highway areas have seen continued growth including new charter schools offering education options to families.
Job growth in the East Valley, including Gilbert and Chandler, as well as Pinal County can make for easier and digestible commutes from the Queen Creek area.
