Scottsdale City Council approves SouthBridge 2 project

The Scottsdale City Council voted 4-3 in favor of the SouthBridge 2.0 project at its meeting Wednesday night.

Mayor Jim Lane and councilwomen Suzanne Klapp, Virginia Korte and Linda Milhaven voted in favor of the project, which was amended to lower some maximum building heights, which had been a point of contention in discussion about the development with some community members.

“Actualization of long-time dreams and audacious goals doesn’t come easy, and I think this is the actualization of long-time dreams and audacious goals,” Korte said.
