See COVID-19’s impact on Sky Harbor Airport

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport saw air travel decline by more than 2.12 million passengers in March with the COVID-19 pandemic bringing tourism and business travel to a halt.

Sky Harbor saw 2.39 million passengers in March down 47 percent from the 4.52 million passengers who used the airport in March 2019.

The Coronavirus stopped travel and tourism last month.

Air freight was up 8.7 percent in March with Sky Harbor seeing 32,425 tons of freight during the month. That was up from 29,893 tons in March 2019.
