The death penalty. The school-to-prison pipeline. Mass incarceration.

During a recent forum on the treatment of people of color in the criminal justice system, the three democratic candidates for Maricopa County attorney discussed their positions on a number of key issues.

As county attorney, they would have the power to influence who is charged, and the sentence they would face if convicted.

Several advocacy groups, including Black Lives Matter Metro Phoenix, Mass Liberation Project Arizona, LUCHA, Trans Queer Pueblo and Poder in Action hosted the forum.
