Construction on Avondale freeway interchange completed

Construction of the new $30 million traffic interchange on Interstate 10, west of Loop 101 in Avondale, is finished. It began in mid-February 2019 and took 14 months to complete.

But it’s not quite ready for drivers.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, “The project includes a bridge over I-10 at Fairway Drive, between Dysart Road and Avondale Boulevard, to help support economic development and provide additional capacity in the fast-growing West Valley.”
