HealthyVerify Certification is helping the KCAA Preschools of Hawai’i develop and implement best practices for its health safety efforts as it and other schools traverse all the challenges and complexities of the coronavirus.
HealthyVerify is the country’s only independent medically based, scientific, and professional full service certification company helping to reduce the risk of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. Scottsdale-based HealthyVerify helps workplaces, retail stores, event venues, school districts and sports leagues develop best health safety practices during the pandemic to abide by COVID-19 related mandates.
Christina Cox, president of KCAA Preschools in Hawaii, said HealthyVerify’s help has been invaluable to her schools.
“The team approach that HealthyVerify employs has been invaluable to us as we worked to navigate the complexities of this new COVID-19 world over the past 6 months. The medical director working in partnership with attorney, Jonathan Udell, provide a wonderful balance of guidance. Jonathan worked closely with us to take a wide array of policies and procedures and convert it into a cohesive document that presents things in a logical and understandable format,” Cox said.
She said HealthyVerify will provide important guidance if new challenges and issues arise. “The biggest benefit is having such a highly qualified team ready to advise us on any challenging situation that may arise, ensuring we are in compliance with the most current CDC guidelines.”
HealthyVerify has also been working with the Avondale Elementary School District, Fowler Elementary School District as well as other districts along with charter and Montessori schools.
The Arizona company’s team includes infectious disease experts from the Barrow Neurological Institute and researchers at Arizona State University.
Cox said the COVID-19 pandemic has presented ever-changing challenges and guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control on other agencies. She said HealthyVerify helps dealing with that landscape.
“The biggest challenges have revolved around the ever-changing CDC guidance. HV’s ability to help us translate policy into practice and to help us better understand so many new and important concepts such as ‘contacts’ and ‘contact of a contact’ have enabled us to calmly assess potentially difficult situations.” Cox said referring to HealthyVerify’s help. “The HV team is responsive and easy to work with. We have a few uniquely designed schools with an open -classroom concept and their medical director was able to help us focus on what matters, to help ensure that both children and staff are in a safe environment. One of the things that we know matters most, is how we communicate the message to our employees and our families-this is a team effort-we are all in this together.”
Cox said that includes a new weekly newsletter “to help keep safe practices ‘top of mind’ for everyone.”
