Pinal gives OK for large development near Queen Creek

By Mark Cowling | Pinal Central

FLORENCE — Pinal County officials have given their blessings to a large development and water transfer sale in and around Queen Creek.

The Board of Supervisors held public hearings and approved a non-major comprehensive plan amendment and zoning on two parcels Wednesday for the future Quarters at Queen Creek. The community is 254 homes on 88 acres immediately south of Queen Creek Wash and 1,300 feet west of North Gantzel Road, adjacent to the town of Queen Creek.

The board delayed action on the overlay zoning district until the board’s Nov. 18 meeting to give the applicant more time to work with county staff on outstanding issues.
