Scottsdale considers park design contract

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The Scottsdale City Council is being asked to award a $509,800 contract to Floor Associates for architectural design services for a new 17-acre city park at Ashler Hills Drive and 74th Way. The park is in the Whisper Rock area and funding for it was part of a bond package approved by voters in 2019.

The council will decide on approving the contract award at its Nov. 10 meeting.

Floor Associates is the preferred bidder besting ten other architecture firms.

The park is slated to have playgrounds, sports courts, shade structures and some trails.
