Chandler to vote on new rental homes

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The Chandler City Council is scheduled to vote Thursday, Dec. 10, on rezoning 8.99 acres at the southeast corner of Riggs and Gilbert Roads for a proposed “attached rental home” development with duplex and triplex buildings.

Truvista Development is proposing the 108-unit rental home development. Scottsdale-based Truvista Development is managed by JD Levy and David Reich, according to Arizona Corporation Commission filings.

The Chandler council is being asked to rezone an undeveloped parcel to allow for the multifamily use.

The community would be adjacent to a bank and pharmacy.

For rent single-home, townhouse and duplex development arose after the Great Recession and the segment has continued to grow in the Phoenix metro area and other markets.
