Phoenix community college rolls out cannabis business training program

PHOENIX – With Arizona voters having legalized the recreational use of marijuana, a Phoenix community college wants to train the next wave of cannabis professionals.

GateWay Community College, part of the Maricopa Community College system, has launched the Center for Cannabis Business Training.

The center’s website calls it “online education for a growing business.”

“The Center for Cannabis Business Training will ensure that the cannabis and CBD industry minimizes its risks and helps produce knowledgeable employees for businesses,” Jeanne Ratliff, GateWay manager of workforce development, said in a press release Thursday.
