What happened to key Glendale property sold for $25K?

Dawn and Chase Albright bought an old drab brick building in downtown Glendale from the city for $25,000 in 2018, which was far less than the city paid for the building.

The city made the sale without any public bidding process.

Glendale leaders at the time said that selling the property to the Albrights, who would move their high-end furniture business to the area, was a key step in launching a downtown arts renaissance.

A few years later, Glendale’s policy on city land sales still is not as transparent as most Phoenix-area cities. As for the downtown property, the Albrights have given the building a face-lift and worked to foster a scene they hoped would be similar to downtown Phoenix’s Roosevelt Row.
