As potential short-term rental changes loom Scottsdale explores task force

After Scottsdale City Councilwoman Linda Milhaven first proposed a short-term rental task force to better address the neighborhood nuisance, the city is moving forward to explore how such a group could operate.

On March 9, the Scottsdale City Council voted 7-0 to explore options for a task force, which in part is envisioned to develop creative ideas to enforce problematic rentals.

Scottsdale Mayor David Ortega, while supporting the effort, feared implementing too much bureaucracy.
