Tuesday is election day in Goodyear. Voters who did not mail their ballots by March 1 for the all-mail election have until 7 Tuesday evening to drop them off at Goodyear City Hall or the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office.
Goodyear voters will decide the outcome of 10 changes to the city charter, including whether Mayor Georgia Lord will receive a $7,000 salary increase, how council approves their own pay changes, and whether the city should eventually switch to district-based elections.
Phoenix and Goodyear, a suburb southwest of Phoenix, are the only two area cities with local issues on the ballot.
