Scottsdale holding marijuana text amendment open houses

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The City of Scottsdale will hold virtual open houses on Tuesday, March 23 and Thursday, March 25 on a proposed text amendment related to zoning, land use and legalized marijuana.

Arizona voters legalized cannabis for recreational use (including small amounts of growing for individual use) via Proposition 207 on the November ballot.

Prop. 207’s passage is requiring cities and other local governments to  look at various ordinances and how they might need to change.

Those include smoking ordinances as well as those related to land use, zoning and businesses

The upcoming open houses related to zoning and land use will both be held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.
