Sterling Grove golf course opens to rave reviews

Blake Groth and his wife, Coco, moved from Washington state to Surprise’s new Sterling Grove community to be near his parents, who live in Goodyear.

But there’s another reason the Groths, who are avid golfers, wanted a piece of the new gem of Surprise.

“It’s pretty amazing what they did with farmland out here,” Mr. Groth said, referring to the new Jack Nicklaus-designed 18-hole golf course that opened for play last month and has already drawn rave reviews from golfers.
