Scottsdale is vying to be the official authority when it comes to plan review, permitting and inspection services for the Palmeraie — a mixed-use development that straddles the city and Town of Paradise Valley.
The two neighboring municipalities will enter into an intergovernmental agreement of cross-jurisdiction road and utility improvements.
On Friday, July 2, the Scottsdale City Council will vote to approve or deny a contract with the Town of Paradise Valley, which will include plan review and associated infrastructure, improvements and define jurisdictional boundaries for subsequent maintenance and operation responsibilities of those improvements.
The Paradise Valley Town Council will consider the same agreement at its Thursday, June 24, meeting.
The Palmeraie spans 122 acres of mixed-use development to include shopping, hospitality, dining, luxury living and wellness. The property includes the Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley Resort & Residences, which has been under the town’s guise as it comes to fruition.
