A 182-unit multifamily development called Moderne at Arrowhead is under consideration in Glendale.
The Glendale Planning Commission will look at zoning changes to allow for the project at its Aug. 5 meeting.
Moderne Partners (David Dewar) is proposing the residential development with 3-story buildings on a vacant property at the northeast corner of Greenway Road and 67th Avenue.
The land is currently zoned for General Commercial. The developer is asking for that to be changed to a Multiple Residence category for 9.4 acres and High Density Residential for a 0.8-acre parcel. That latter requires a General Plan amendment, according to city documents.
Todd + Associates is serving as the architect for the project.
“This proposal is for a minor general plan amendment and rezone to allow for the development of a multiple family residential apartment complex. The property consists of 3 parcels and is currently vacant land. The project will include 12 buildings, 2 and 3 stories, with a total of 182 multi-family residential units that include 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units in a private gated community,” a report from the Glendale Planning commission reads.
