Glendale eyes annexation for industrial growth

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The Glendale City Council will hold a public hearing on annexing county land for a potential large industrial park at its meeting Tuesday, Aug. 24.

The Hopewell parcel totals 104 acres at the southwest corner of Northern Avenue and Reems Road.
The council is being asked to annex the land and rezone it for a large industrial park that could total 1.6 million square feet.

The industrial park could encompass five buildings, according to city documents.

The council is scheduled to have a formal vote on the annexation next month.

The land is currently vacant and has a rural residential zoning designation.

There has been significant industrial development in the West Valley area.
