Tempe-based Trinity Air Medical — which specializes in transporting organs for transplant operations — has been acquired in a $23 million deal.

New York-based Blade Air Mobility (NASDAQ: BLDE) acquired Trinity in a deal completed Sept. 15.

Blade provides on-demand, short-distance charter and helicopter flights with a focus on flights out of New York City and Los Angeles.

Blade “purchased 100% of the capital stock of Trinity — which generated revenues of approximately $16 million in calendar year 2020,” according to a statement released by the companies.

Trinity was founded by Seth Bacon in 2013.
