Glendale approves rezoning for proposed retail center

A Scottsdale-based developer received rezoning approval on Tuesday to move forward with a proposed 42,841-square-foot retail center a couple miles east of the Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale.

The 7.46-acre lot will be rezoned from general commercial to planned area development for the SimonCRE project, dubbed 75th & Glendale Retail Center, according to planning documents. The application was requested by Maria Grishina, project manager for SimonCRE.
