Goodyear retail center sees increased activity amid rezoning approval for mixed-use

A once struggling Goodyear retail center that sits on about 90 acres has seen a boost in interest recently due to a proposed project that will turn the site into a mixed-use development.

Called Canyon Trails Towne Center, the initial project opened in 2008 and was developed by Vestar, a Phoenix-based shopping center owner and management company, on the northeast corner of Cotton Lane and Yuma Road.
