Maricopa council approves changing 13 acres to general mixed use

MARICOPA — The city council approved the amendment to the city’s zoning map from light industry and warehouse to general mixed use.

This will rezone 13 acres of land located on the southeast corner of North Porter Road and West Applegate Road. It’s just north of the Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway.

This change in zoning wouldn’t harm the potential land use opportunities for creating another hospital or other things, the council was told.
