Robert Cortazzo has been named Southwest division president for Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP).
The construction manager and general contractor has operations in Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, Texas and Wyoming.
“Rob Cortazzo is an experienced, dynamic leader with the proven ability to oversee complex, high-caliber projects that reflect AP’s quality standards,” said Jeff Hansen, CEO of AP. “His experience in aviation, healthcare, industrial, commercial and higher education construction projects aligns well with AP’s current portfolio and prospects. I am excited about the positive impact he will have on the region and our business.”
Cortazzo joins AP after management and executive stints at other construction firms including Tutor Perini Building Corp., Martin Harris Construction, Skanska and Turner Construction,

AP has maintained a local office in the Phoenix area for 30 years and recently established a new Southwest regional leadership team, including Vice President of Operations Scott Salyer, Directors of Business Development Melissa Bennett and Mark Mitchell, Project Executive Michael Smith and Marketing Director Amara Boesch.
