FLORENCE — The new year could see a surge in new homes as new subdivisions start construction and established builders remain busy.
“There’s a ton of interest, a ton of property changing hands in this area, and I think Florence is about to really have a boom,” Town Manager Brent Billingsley said in a year-end interview.
“One trend we’ve been seeing a lot lately, is a lot of property is changing hands, from land holders to land developers. There’s a couple of things that we believe fuel that locally. One is availability of water in Florence. Another one is the recently decided North-South (freeway) Corridor alignment, with the final EIS (environmental impact statement) and record of decision on that.”
