VIA CONCORD WILSHIRE CAPITAL

Experts see the use of the Valley’s light rail system as a big score for developers at the site of the former Metrocenter mall, which is expected to be part of a new $750 million development project near Dunlap Avenue and Interstate 17.
The project, announced earlier this month, is expected to revamp the north Phoenix neighborhood that once housed Metrocenter — a destination shopping center that helped put Phoenix on the map in the 1970s.
Developers plan to turn 68 acres of land into 100,000 square feet of retail space and add 2,600 multifamily units to the area.
