Cobblestone Hotels and Suites cleared its final hurdle in the effort to build a four-story hotel in Wickenburg.
The Town Council approved the hotel’s application for development review at its meeting Monday. Cobblestone is expected to break ground on the 86-room hotel early next year.
“This is the final piece that we needed to get things moving down the road,” Cobblestone CEO Brian Wogernese said. “We’re going to start sending some contracts tomorrow (Tuesday) and get some stuff going. The engineering, the water and sewer, we’ve been holding off to get final approval. You’re going to start seeing some activity in the first part of 2022.”
